An area humanist association has accepted full responsibility for all oppressive acts carried out by communist regimes throughout the ages.
Brenda Frith said "I realised that by blaming modern Christians for the Spanish Inquisition, witch burning and the Crusades, we were leaving ourselves open to criticism. So, in order to address this, we are today saying sorry for communism and the torture carried out against political rivals of communist regimes. We are all to blame".
In a show of good will, the area Humanist Association has welcomed the local Southern Baptist church to set up a radio transmitter on its roof to broadcast unfounded accusations against "whoever they bloody well like".
