Area Humanist Slams Faith As Stupid

An area humanist today slammed faith as a stupid crutch for people who can't think for themselves. Dr. David Rawkin said that most people don't even consider the science behind what they believe and unless they understand the science, they shouldn't believe it. He further went on to enforce his point that since there is no reasonable science behind faith, there is nothing to believe.

When asked how many people understood the intricacies of scientific 'facts' such as the chemical reactions that would have had to take place in a rock in order to spark life or the nature of time and space before the Big Bang, he said "well, that's what we scientists are here for. As long as the people believe us, they'll be just fine".
