Hillarious Cartoon Wins Humanist Cartoon Compo

An area artist had just won a cartoon competition hosted by internationally renowned humanist, Prof. Holland Hawker.

"there was a broad spectrum of talent, ranging from the inspired through to the childish". We assume that by 'childish' he is referring to those entries depicting himself as a balloon about to be popped by 'the small prick of truth'. He said, "such childish efforts won't convert me and simply show how infantile all believers are".

Another cartoon, dismissed as 'pathetic', portrayed him as a blinkered horse eating genetically modified hay which was slowly turning him into a communist dictator; "just because communists are atheists, it doesn't mean that all atheists are communists".

The first prize went to a cartoon poking fun at the recent scandal surrounding Catholic priests and paedophile crimes problem that is causing so many headlines around the world. "This cartoon" said Prof. Holland "is hillarious and I couldn't stop crying with laughter. This proves that all believers are paedophiles and let's face it, that IS funny".

The second prize went to a picture of a Bible in the shape of a balloon about to be popped by the 'small prick of truth'. Prof. Holland said this was "original, witty and a work of pure genius".
